Cunard's Queen Victoria's Visit to Greenock

It has been confirmed That the Cunard's Queen Victoria will be making its first ever port of call in Scotland, when it comes to Greenock next year.

The 90,000 tonne vessel is expected to pull into The Ocean Terminal Queen Victoriaon Wednesday the 28th of July 2010.

The visit will be part of an eleven day UK wide tour the luxury liner will make on its maiden voyage. It will take in Dublin, Belfast,Cobh and Liverpool, among other ports, on its way. 

The Queen Victoria entered service in 2007. It can carry 2000 passangers  on 12 guest desks, and is expected to transport thousands of people on its journeys round the world.The Clyde will also welcome the arrival of another mighty vessel, when the worlds biggest Ocean liner.

The Queen Mary 2 makes port for the first time in October 2009. It will be the largest vessel of its kinds ever to visit and will join a fine tradition of great ships to pull into Greenock.The QE2 stopped in during its last voyage in October 2008, with tens of thousands of people coming out to see her.
