| Billy Gilliland |
 Born in Greenock Billy Gilliland was ranked 1st in world mixed doubles at badminton 1985/86+1986/87 also won gold medal in mens doubles at the 1986 Commonwealth Games competing for Scotland. Billy moved to Canada in 1987 to take up the postion as National Coach.
